David Young - Company Secretary

David joined Alleyn’s School as Director of Development and Finance in February 2009 following a 24-year career as a lawyer and capital markets banker. David went to Oxford and London Universities and was the first in his family to reach tertiary education. He is passionate about widening access to academically selective schools. David has a hybrid role at Alleyn’s, leading the Development and Alumni Office and also acting as commercial director and deputy bursar for the School.

David is married to Sarah, a local GP, and they have three children. Outside of office hours he enjoys skiing holidays and singing with his local church choir. David volunteers with Oxbridge Interviews, a social enterprise company which provides free interview practice and training for candidates from less advantaged backgrounds.
